ATW Salcey Trail & Canicross
Join ATW Salcey Trail & Canicross
Nestled in the picturesque Northamptonshire countryside, Salcey Forest, once a medieval hunting ground, stands as a majestic woodland adorned with ancient wood banks, remnants of structures, and venerable trees, including the rare and extraordinary 'druids' or veteran oaks, some of which have stood for over six centuries. This historic setting serves as the perfect backdrop for a thrilling trail run.
Embark on a 5km loop of trails that gracefully wind their way through the enchanting woods. For those engaging in the Canicross, both you and your canine companion must be in optimal physical condition. Dogs are required to wear a suitable running harness connected to a bungee line and waist belt – no leashes attached to collars will be permitted.
As you traverse the trails, a water station awaits at the conclusion of the initial lap, specifically catering to participants in the two-lap 10km event. Additionally, water and post-run snacks will be available at the finish line. Please responsibly dispose of any litter either by carrying it or using the designated bins at the water station.
For the Half Marathon trail run, participants will complete four laps of the 5km loop, including a brief out-and-back section.
