The event commences at the National Trust visitor's centre on Dunstable Downs, offering a breathtaking view of the Chiltern Hills. Participants can choose between the two lap Bison course or the shorter one lap 'Baby Bison' option.
After completing a 13km (or 6.5km) trail run around Dunstable Downs, participants will transition from trail shoes to bike shoes for a 22km cycling loop through the stunning Chiltern Hills. The full Bison course entails completing two laps while the Baby Bison course involves one lap.
The cycling route includes notable climbs such as Ivinghoe Beacon, frequently used for hill-climbing competitions, and Bison Hill, ranked among the top 100 climbs in the UK. As an added bonus, participants will pass the penguin enclosure at Whipsnade Zoo (no need to worry, it's real!) before ascending back to the breathtaking panoramic view at Dunstable Downs. The course also offers exhilarating downhill stretches that are sure to bring a smile to your face.
If you have any energy left, both distances culminate with one lap of the challenging 6.5km running route.

What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
You can transfer yourself to any other ATW event for a small admin fee of £5.00. If you are unable to attend due to illness, injury, family bereavement, jury service you will only be eligible for a credit on production of official evidence: Positive Covid-19 test result, Doctor’s note, Death Certificate etc.
When will I receive further information about the event?
The detailed race information including maps, details on parking, registration, baggage and start times will be e-mailed out to participants approximately 10 days before the event date. This sometimes ends up in junk mail so please keep an eye out for it!
