Whether you're an experienced athlete seeking a fast race or a newcomer looking for a safe, welcoming venue for your first open-water multisport event, Grafham Water is the perfect setting. This fantastic venue has hosted award-winning triathlons, national championships, and GB qualifier races—you're guaranteed to love it.
Choose from two exciting distances:
Standard Distance Triathlon: 1500m swim, 38km bike, 10km run Sprint Distance Triathlon: 750m swim, 17km bike, 5km runThe swim takes place in the clear, beautiful waters of the Grafham Water reservoir, with laps on a 750m loop—one lap for Sprint and two for Standard.
The bike course is a flat out-and-back route through some of the most scenic villages in the area. The Sprint course turns at the village of Perry, while the Standard course continues to the town of St Neots.
The run features laps of a 5k route along the natural paths around Grafham Water. This flat route crosses the iconic dam wall and loops past the finish and transition area, where you'll receive great support on each lap. Sprint participants will complete one lap, while Standard participants will do two.
For those who prefer not to run, there is also a standard-distance Aquabike (swim-bike) option.
Course details
The bike is a flat out and back bike course that takes you through some of the most scenic villages in the area. The Sprint distance turns in the village of Perry, while the Standard turns in the town of StNeots.
The run uses laps of a 5k route around the natural footpaths of Grafham water. The flat route heads out and back across the iconic dam wall before looping past the finish and transition area where you’ll receive great support each lap.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
You can transfer yourself to any other ATW event for a small admin fee of £5.00. If you are unable to attend due to illness, injury, family bereavement, jury service you will only be eligible for a credit on production of official evidence: Positive Covid-19 test result, Doctor’s note, Death Certificate etc.
When will I receive further information about the event?
The detailed race information including maps, details on parking, registration, baggage and start times will be e-mailed out to participants approximately 10 days before the event date. This sometimes ends up in junk mail so please keep an eye out for it!
