Where does running take you next?

I recently had the privilege of running the 6-Lakes Marathon, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The event was exceptionally well organised, with every detail thoughtfully planned, making the day run smoothly. The volunteers were incredibly friendly and supportive, creating a welcoming atmosphere that carried us along the course. The route itself was excellent—undulating enough to be challenging yet enjoyable, offering variety without being overwhelming. All along the way, runners were treated to tremendous scenery, with sweeping views of the lakes and surrounding landscapes that made every mile worthwhile. The number of competitors felt just right, striking the perfect balance between camaraderie and personal space. Overall, the 6-Lakes Marathon is truly a must-do event in a beautiful country, and one I’d highly recommend to any runner seeking both challenge and inspiration.

Very well organised and great route! Good food after the race as well.

Brilliantly organised. Free buses from central Uppsala with great timetables. Everyone there to have fun. Pre and post race had a great atmosphere, with lots of nationalities there to take part. Some of the route was confusing, with a couple of wrong turns, but added to the fun! A good route, with some tough short hills. Water stations were brilliant too.
