Long Course Weekend Maastricht - Netherlands is a unique sports festival with an unbeatable atmosphere. During three days, athletes can choose from three disciplines (swim, bike, run) which can be completed in different distances, so that everyone can participate in a tailor-made sports weekend. For the real die-hards, there is the Long Course option: the longest distance in each discipline. Every athlete who completes this course receives a fourth medal on top of the medal you receive per discipline. Long Course Weekend events are known all over the world for their fantastic atmosphere and spectacular finish lines.
Located in the beautiful Maastricht region, the Long Course Weekend Netherlands offers athletes the opportunity to exercise in the middle of the beautiful Limburg landscape. Maastricht is surrounded by green hills, picturesque views and offers an ideal setting for swimmers, cyclists and runners. The city is in a unique location, near the borders of Belgium and Germany, which offers participants a real cross-border experience. Part of the cycling course even takes the participants through neighboring Belgium.
In addition to the race, Maastricht has a lot to offer. Explore the historic streets, admire the cultural sights and enjoy regional dishes on the atmospheric terraces. There are also numerous cycling and walking routes in the surrounding nature, so that everyone can enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Individual Sports entries: Until April 15 (included): distance changes in the same discipline allowed. The original registration fee will not be refunded and in the event that the new distance price is higher at that time at the price paid when making the original registration. From April 16, there will be a €10 fee for any distance changes.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
- We shall not be liable to refund entry or for any other penalty should the event be cancelled due to force majeure. We shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have occurred, including transport cost, accommodation etc. The organization will propose a compensation for the participant for the next Long Course Weekend Netherlands event. The organizer cannot be obliged to refund the registration fee. - No refunds for the registration fee nor potential extras (merchandising, good causes, etc.) will be made in case of a cancellation by a participant. - In the event of cancellation of the event we will endeavour to inform all athletes a week prior to the event, although please be aware that this is not always possible. The organizer cannot be obliged to refund the registration fee. - The participant can transfer entry to the next edition before 31.03.2025. After this date, the entry cannot be transferred.
Wetsuit rules
Unless otherwise notified by the Event Organiser swimming wetsuits are compulsory for open water with water temperature under 15,9oC. Up to 24oC it will be optional for distances of 1900 and 3800 meters. Above these temperatures, the use of wetsuit is prohibited. It is the Participant’s responsibility to provide and use a wetsuit which complies with Belgian Triathlon federation rules and regulations. Participants without a wetsuit will not be allowed to compete.
Cut-off times swim
Swim: 3800m: 2 hour 15 minutes; 1900m: 1 hour 40 minutes
Cut-off time bike
Bike: 180km: 9 hours; 90km: 8 hours; 45k: 3 hours
Cut-off time run
Run: Marathon: 5 hours 30 minutes; Half Marathon: 3 hours 30 minutes; 10km: 90 minutes; 5km: 60 minutes
