The Hague offers a wide variety of attractions and museums. Visit the miniature city of Madurodam, the smallest city in the Netherlands. Or the Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis, a magnificent museum displaying paintings by famous artists like Vermeer and Rembrandt and located in one of the most beautiful Classical style buildings in the Netherlands, just outside the famous Binnenhof. If you prefer modern art, visit the Gemeentemuseum, which is located in a picturesque building designed by Dutch architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage. Or visit Escher in Het Paleis on the stately Lange Voorhout and marvel at Escher's amazing world of optical illusions. You can enjoy large-screen films at Omniversum or admire the biggest painting in the Netherlands at Panorama Mesdag, and a visit to the Museum Beelden aan Zee on Scheveningen Boulevard is definitely a must too. Children will love discovering the underwater world at Sea Life in Scheveningen, and the whole family will enjoy a fun day out at Duinrell amusement park. You can take a boat or cycle trip through our beautiful city as well as visit these museums, or go on a guided tour with a native guide who can show you all the picturesque spots in The Hague.
One of the most popular elements of the NN CPC Run The Hague is the Half Marathon. The course goes from The Hague City Centre to the boulevard at Scheveningen and back again to the City Centre. The atmosphere is great with a lot of spectators and music acts along the course.
