Frequently asked questions
How do I get to the race location?
It is expected that most athletes travel to ALUT – Algarviana Ultra Trail – by two main and complementary routes: road and air. Those traveling by plane can land at Faro International Airport . You can also choose to rent a car for the duration of your stay in the Algarve. For these cases, we suggest Visacar – Car Rental.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
No changes to participant data are permitted after November 1, 2026. In case of withdrawal by the athlete, a refund of the registration fee will be possible, less an administrative fee of €25, and the following penalty percentages will also apply: Until July 30th - 75% Until September 30th - 50% Until November 1st - 25%
Where to stay?
With the athletes, their support teams, family members or friends in mind, we are establishing a set of partnerships that intend to cover the different needs and accommodation preferences for those traveling to the Algarve for the ALUT – Algarviana Ultra Trail.
Required equipment
• Backpack or waist bag with a liquid reservoir with a minimum total capacity A 1500ml bottle and/or container for drinking liquids (there will be no cups at the gas stations); • GPS equipment/watch and spare batteries/cells; • Food reserve (at least 1000 calories recommended); • Thermal survival blanket; • Cell phone always on and with sound; • Waterproof; • Whistle;
