Join Ultra Marathon of the Atlantic
The biggest sporting event organized by the Municipality of Grândola will take place this year on July 19th. The beaches along the Atlantic coast will host another edition of the Atlantic Ultra Marathon, a 45 km race connecting Melides Beach to Tróia-Mar Beach. The Ultra Marathon is an adventure race that tests physical and psychological endurance, offering a unique experience to athletes who participate every year, or to those who are competing for the first time. This competition distinguishes itself from other existing long-distance races by taking place on sandy terrain and framed by the Atlantic coast and the Serra da Arrábida mountain range, providing a beautiful backdrop for the hundreds of athletes who participate. The Atlantic Race, which has been held since 2014, allows you to experience running on sand over a shorter distance of approximately 15 km, starting at Comporta Beach and finishing at Tróia-Mar Beach.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
1. Saturday, July 18 – For both competitions – José Afonso Municipal Sports Complex in Grândola, between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. 2. Sunday, July 19th – For the Atlantic Ultra Marathon – Melides Beach, between 7:30 am and 8:30 am. 3. Sunday, July 19th – For the Atlantic Race – Comporta Beach, between 7:30 am and 8:30 am.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
There is no refund of the registration fee, except in the case of postponement or cancellation of the event for unforeseen reasons beyond the organization's control.
What should I do if I have to drop out halfway through the race?
Athletes who, for any reason, need to withdraw should wait for the support vehicles that remain along the route between the last and first athletes in the race, or go to the nearest beach checkpoint if they are able to move independently, where they can request transport to the finish area. Withdrawal must be communicated to the staff member at the beach checkpoint or to the driver of the support vehicle.
