If a flat and fast course is on your list, then the Hella Hamburg is one to add to it. Held in Hamburg, participants get to see all the great sites of the city on foot while racing toward the finish line. For the beachcomber, the Borkumer Meilenlauf Half Marathon is a perfect choice. Just as the summer is cooling, race around one of the most scenic beach routes in Borkum. A very small following, it is a great choice for the newbie runner!

Or if a forested scenic route is more your forte, then the EBM-Pabst Half Marathon will show you the way. Located in Niedernhall, Germany, it is, likewise, in September, which is when the weather is just about perfect.
