Slovenian beauty caught between the Alpine, Karst, and Mediterranean world. On its territory, a famous Roman battle between the West Frankish commander Arbogast and the then-Roman emperor, Theodosius I., happened in 394.
Many moons later, on April 26- 28, 2024, the Roman battle of today – the 9th edition of Ultra Trail Vipava Valley will take place precisely on the ground of this history – one of the most epic, heroic, and magical trail-running challenges in Slovenia and the wider region.
Run between medieval villages, castles, monasteries, and vineyards. Climb the surrounding hills and enjoy the breathtaking views from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea – and let it be a battle with yourself! Become a true Roman warrior!
