Join X-Waters Slovenia 2024
Come to compete at the X-Waters Slovenia open water swimming competition on lake Bled.
CNN has named Lake Bled as one of the top 25 most stunning locations worldwide – and it's truly like something out of a dream.
Situated amidst sprawling mountains and lush forests, Lake Bled is one of Europe's most beautiful aquatic settings. Its crystal-clear waters sparkle with a vibrant blue hue, creating a dramatic contrast against the greens of the forests and the heights of the mountains.
Commanding views from a hill above the lake is a medieval castle, and nestled in the lake's center is a petite island, just large enough to house a church. The blend of natural beauty and medieval architecture lends the scene a fairytale-like aura.
Visitors are not just in for a feast of visual treats, but also for capturing splendid photos. Based in a hub of international rowing, our starting city boasts all the necessary infrastructure.
The lake welcomes swimmers of all skill levels, with mediation-friendly water temperatures, rarely occurring waves, and a beginner-friendly 500-meter stretch. A walking path circles the entire lake, allowing spectators to cheer their loved ones on throughout the journey.
Bled Island excellently marries breathtaking natural beauty with modern necessities and offers an array of cozy cafes and restaurants serving local cuisine with lake views. There's abundant accommodation for all budgets and an array of entertainment options ranging from ice skating to casinos.
While it's uncertain what aspect of Lake Bled will leave the most lasting impression on you, one thing is guaranteed – your experience will be nothing short of unforgettable!
