Ultra X Sahara unfolds in the remote and breathtaking Chegaga region of the Moroccan Sahara. Situated deep in the country's south, this dramatic landscape is famed for its sweeping sand dunes, rugged rocky plateaus, and unforgiving desert terrain—setting the stage for a true test of endurance and determination.
The event features a grueling 5-stage course spanning 220 km, crafted for athletes hungry for a formidable challenge. With tough elevation gains, extreme temperatures, and ever-changing terrain underfoot, the race pushes participants far beyond their comfort zones. Whether you're a seasoned ultrarunner or seeking to prove yourself against one of the world’s harshest environments, this unforgettable race promises a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Ultra X Sahara is a UTMB® indexed race.
The first stage will commence on Tuesday 24th March and the last on Saturday 28th. After the final stage on Saturday, participants will be transferred back to the Official Race Hotel, the Karam Palace in Ouarzazate. Staying at the Karam Palace is an optional add-on. If you would like to book a single or twin room, you can do so at checkout.
