Join TRITON 1 Lisboa Triathlon 2025
TRITON 1 Lisboa is part of a new global triathlon series featuring two race formats, TRITON 3 and TRITON 1.
TRITON 3 is a triathlon in a stage like format, taking place across 3 consequitive days.
At TRITON 3 participants have the option of racing the full 3 days or just one or two of the three days.
TRITON 1 is a one day regular triathlon race.
Both formats offer the following:
3 DISTANCES: SHORT, MIDDLE and LONG
At both you have the option to race as an individual, by gender and age-group, or as a women only team or a mixed team.
Both official events are TRITON World Series Finals, qualifying events.
Course details
The swim will be a in loop course.
Participants will do one lap for the SHORT distance (600 m), two laps for the MIDDLE (1.200 m) distance and three laps for the LONG (1.800 m) distance.
Waves are, SHORT first, MIDDLE second and LONG, third.
Bike Course
100% CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
The bike course is quite unique in Lisbon, and one of the only with a urban course, 100% closed to traffic.
It is a in lap course, each lap of 22.5 km approximately.
The bike course consists of one lap for the SHORT (22.5 k), two laps for the MIDDLE (45 k), and 4 laps for the LONG (90 k).
Run Course
The run course starts at the transition zone and it is absolutely flat and it is an “in loop” course making it very spectator friendly with tones ou spectators along the entire course. You will find an aid-station at each 2.5 km approximately.
One of the turn around-points is before the famous Vasco da Gama Bridge, the second longest in Europe (17 km) and the second turn-around next to the finish-line. The finish-line is located also on the Oceanário de Lisboa side, next to the swim entry.

What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
Until 183 days (6 months) before race day weekend – of 50% of your registration price. From 182 days, onwards – No Refund.
Entry transfers
Unless specifically stated in official race written communications TRITON WS race entries are non-transferable. Selling of your race entry slot is strictly prohibited. If you do sell your race slot, you will be disqualified from the race and you, as well as, the entrant who purchased your slot will be disqualified from the TRITON WS for a minimum of 2 years.
Wetsuit rules
Unless the water temperature is above 21 degrees celsius, it is your choice to use a wetsuit or not. The water has been around 18/19 degrees Celsius in recent years. If the water drops under 15 degrees Celsius, then it is mandatory for your safety.
