Join Qiandao Lake Marathon (Thousand Lake Marathon) 2024
Qiandao Lake Marathon, called Thousand Island Lake Marasthon as well, was first held in 2015. The Thousand Island Lake got its name from the 1078 islands which are located within the lake, and has the reputation for being the most pristine water body in the whole of China. It’s clear and calm waters are surrounded by mountains and waterfalls in every direction, resembling a scenic painting by an ancient artist.
The Thousand Island Lake Marathon consists of full marathon, half marathon, and a lake fun run. The Thousand Island Lake Marathon race route passes through all defining scenic spots of the lake, and guarantees a memorable and enjoyable experience for all runners. The serenity of the lake and the mellow warmth brought about by the sun makes the Thousand Island Lake Marathon the perfect race to challenge your limits and while enjoying the fresh air and taking in the scenic view of the Thousand Island Lake. The highlight of the Thousand Island Lake Marathon is a stretch along the route overlooking the numerous islands within the lake, which have been historically described as "jade beads on a plate of sapphire".
