The Port Douglas Gran Fondo Festival will take place in the stunning Tropical North Queensland, offering the perfect opportunity to explore this breathtaking region. Over three exciting days, the event will feature various rides, including the 136km and 100km Gran Fondo, the 60km Semi Fondo, and the 48km Medio Fondo, all happening on Sunday, September 14. These rides, though timed, are not races—so you can either challenge yourself or simply enjoy the journey. Take in the spectacular scenery, pause for photos, and savor the experience with family and friends, all while prioritizing safety.
The scenic courses will guide you along the Great Barrier Reef Drive between Port Douglas and Palm Cove, offering panoramic views of the Coral Sea through lush palm trees. To enhance the experience, the road will be fully closed to traffic, allowing riders to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the surroundings.
Beyond the rides, Port Douglas offers a range of unforgettable experiences. You can snorkel the Great Barrier Reef with Quicksilver Cruises, encounter crocodiles at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, cuddle a koala at Wildlife Habitat, explore the Daintree Rainforest with a guided walk through Mossman Gorge, or enjoy sunset drinks at Hemingway’s Brewery. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
