We’re thrilled to announce the Sydney Marathon as a candidate race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors. If successful, Sydney Marathon will join an esteemed group of races, Tokyo Marathon, Boston Marathon, TCS London Marathon, BMW-Berlin Marathon, Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and TCS New York City Marathon. Take part in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and run across the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge uninterrupted by traffic, finishing at the steps of the world-famous Sydney Opera House. Furthermore, in 2024 the event boasts a fresh marathon course, a loyalty rewards program specifically for marathon runners, an extended cut-off time of seven hours, heightened entertainment on the course, and an international travel network to assist in getting you to the start line.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Thursday 12 September 2024 8am - 8pm Friday 13 September 2024 8am - 8pm Saturday 14 September 2024 8am - 4pm Location – International Convention Centre (ICC), Sydney
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
All entries are non-refundable for non-starters and non-finishers. Entry fees are refundable up until 11:59pm AEST Wednesday 31 July 2024 (or 4 weeks prior to event day should the event need to be re-scheduled for any reason) although 25% of the entry fee will be retained to cover administration.
Can I transfer my registration to another person?
You can transfer your entry to another person up until 11:59pm AEST 8 September 2024 (or 1 week out) from event day should the event need to be re-scheduled for any reason) if you can no longer able to participate. It will be your responsibility to find the person to transfer my entry to and arrange the race transfer. There is a fee of $20.00 to transfer the entry which is payable at the time of the transfer.
