Australia’s most iconic city sets the scene for the incredible Sydney Marathon.
As the seventh race to be included in the renowned Abbott World Marathon Majors series, the Sydney Marathon now stands alongside other world-famous marathons like London, Tokyo, and New York. This must-run event offers a breathtaking course which takes participants across the legendary Sydney Harbour Bridge and ends at the emblematic Sydney Opera House.
For the 2025 Sydney Marathon, application takes place through a general ballot which is open from 10:00 AM AEDT on 10 December to 11:59 PM AEDT on 30 December. All applications will be entered into a random draw and successful applicants will be contacted between 8-9 January 2025 (AEDT).
