This one is a real gem. The Monsal Trail offers a traffic-free and relatively flat surface throughout, as it follows a former Midland railway line. The route takes you through four railway tunnels and over the stunning Monsal Viaduct. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, this half marathon is perfect for Spring marathon training. It's suitable for seasoned runners, but also serves as an excellent introduction to the half marathon distance for runners of all levels. Alternatively, you might prefer the 10k option. A racing delight at any distance, this event is a must-join for what promises to be a sell-out race!
Course details
The course will be free from vehicular traffic but will be shared with other trail users, including walkers, dog walkers, horses, and cyclists. We request that all runners stay on the left side of the trail, remain mindful and respectful of other users, and exercise extra caution where the trail narrows.

What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
We believe that our policies for deferrals and transfers is one of the most flexible and generous amongst race organisers and, for that reason, we do not offer refunds of race entry fees for illness, injury, or any other reason. In much the same way as you would not expect a refund for a theatre ticket if you were unable to attend, we are unable to offer refunds for race entries sold.
