Join EDP Lisbon Half Marathon
The EDP Lisbon Half Marathon is the most popular race in Portugal, gathering every year over 35.000 runners from all over the world.
Holder of the Half Marathon World Record (00:58:23), the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon challenges all the top runners to race it and beat the world record.
With a course along the river shore and a starting at the 25 de Abril bridge, EDP Lisbon Half Marathon joins participants from all ages, social status and running experience, becoming a major popular event.
Course Highlights
Tolls’ Square of the Bridge 25th April – Alcântara – Rua de Cascais (Pingo Doce) – Avenida 24 de Julho – Praça do Comércio. Once arrived at Campo das Cebolas (Largo do Terreiro do Trigo), the athletes turn in the opposite direction of traffic – through Praça do Comércio and Avenida 24 de Julho, towards Alcântara – Avenida da Índia (passing by the Jeronimos Monastery, towards Algés) and continue through Avenida Marginal (Avenida Ivens) almost up to Dafundo, where they return in the opposite direction of traffic, through the same arteries, up to Jerónimos, where the finish line is installed.

Aid Stations
Checkpoints There will be checkpoint areas for the runners, being disqualified any athlete who: Isn’t properly registered; Does not wear the assigned race number Does not complete the full course.

All participants of Half-Marathon and Mini-Marathon will receive an official technical t-shirt and a participation medal (and other sponsors offers)Marathon & Half Marathon participants will receive a digital diploma with their official race time

Refreshments
Water, sports drinks, fruits, from km 5 (2.5 km and every 2.5 km) and after the Finish Line.
Transport
Metro Transportes do Sul, Fertagus and Transportes Sul do Tejo are the only means of transporting the participants directly to the Start (Pragal). ATTENTION: From the Pragal station to the Bridge 25 de Abril’s tolls it’s about 15 minutes walking.Participants can use the public transportation (bus, train and subway) for free.
