About Arugam Bay Half Marathon

The Arugam Bay Half Marathon is a charity event to support the education of local kids in Sri Lanka and to give international runners a local running experience in beautiful Arugam Bay.

The event is being organised by the Arugambay Development Forum (ADF) www.adfarugambay.org an organisation that actively supports local education needs. The event slogan is “Run for Education” and any money raised from the event is promised to benefit the local community.

You have to find your but own. August is the peak season in Arugambay so please make advance booking as earlier as possible. Contact us for assistance

Age Limit

17 and above on half marathon. we are welcome veterans (Age over 45years ) and kids (Age 12 to 17 years) to participate in our 5K race. 

Aid Stations

6 water  stations, 3 first aid stations and following ambulance service on half marathon.

Award Medals

Case prize, Medals and certificate for all 10K and 21.1K completed runners. 5K runners will get certificates for completion
