The 7CUT40 race takes participants through a variety of awe-inspiring landscapes, including serene lagoons, towering peaks, and thrilling descents, all the way to the volcano’s edge, passing by the Mosteiros islets and the iconic 7 Cidades tunnel.
The 7CUT20 race captures the essence of the volcano, offering participants unforgettable views of lagoons, peaks, trails, islets, and the famous tunnel.
The 7CUT10 race starts at a high altitude, providing sweeping views of the 7 Cidades volcanic cone and a lagoon. This event, perfect for young participants, can be competitive for runners or enjoyed at a leisurely pace for walkers.

Frequently asked questions
When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
The race secretariat will be open for all races on Friday, May 22, 2026, at a location to be designated, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Sete Cidades Camping Park, from 6:30 AM to 9:45 AM.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes, the person must bring the athlete's Citizen Card, or copy, or photo.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
During the race, in the event of bad weather, and for safety reasons, the organization reserves the right to modify time barriers and/or suspend, reduce, neutralize or stop the race. There will be no right to refund.
The mandatory equipment (7CUT40 and 7CUT20)
Flashlight or headlamp (IMPORTANT); Visible race number; Cell phone with sufficient credit and battery for the entire race; Whistle; Reservoir(s) with a minimum capacity of 0.5 L with water or isotonic drink; Survival blanket. – Survival blanket - Raincoat - Whistle
Recommended equipment (7CUT40 and 7CUT20)(depending on the weather conditions)
Waterproof and/or windproof jacket; Hat, cap, or buff; Reserve food; Long-sleeved shirt or arm warmers; Trekking poles; Sunscreen; Cup (cups will not be provided in the supplies).

Visible race number; Cell phone with sufficient credit and battery for the entire race; Whistle; Survival blanket.
