Join WTR Agulhas Negras
In 2026, the WTR will make its debut in one of Brazil’s most iconic trail running regions with the WTR Agulhas Negras. This event, held between the municipalities of Itatiaia and Resende in the Serra da Mantiqueira, combines history, high altitude and technical challenges. It marks WTR’s entry into a region traditionally associated with mountaineering and mountain races in Brazil.
The weekend will feature Trail Run races in Short, Mid, Long and Ultra distances, Mountain Bike Light and Pro, Duathlon (Short&Pro or Mid&Light) held over both days and the traditional Kids Race. This encourages early participation in sports and a connection with nature in one of Brazil’s most iconic environments.
At the WTR Arena, the public can enjoy concerts, a food park, the WTR Store, a kids’ area, free massages, cryotherapy recovery, sponsor activations and other experiences that are part of the WTR universe.
