About Vintermarathon

Winter Marathon is a classic contest. This is Sweden's oldest marathon and was set up for the first time in 1963.  You run a scenic, flat course at Norra Djurgården in Stockholm. The competition is organized every year in early November of the club that won the team event two years earlier. That means Fredrikshofs FI account for Winter Marathon in 2014 and by 2015. Many of the participants take the marathon as an inspiring season finale, a chance to finish the season with a good time on the marathon. In 2013, Jonas Buud Mora won among gentlemen on 02/25/35. Barry Bonds from Huddinge won the women's class in 2:50:01. Winter Marathon 2013 was the second largest marathon in Sweden. 525 runners were registered, 451 came to the start and 396 completed the race during the maximum time 5.30. This means that the number of participants has increased steadily in recent years. In 2012, 192 runners finished the race, the year before 167.
