Sun Mountain Ultra is the place to be, it is apart of the Rainshadow Running Series. Whether you're a Rainshadow veteran, or brand new to our race series, we're glad you've found us here! With some of the most beautiful and challenging trail ultras throughout the Northwest.

Located on the east (SUNNY) side of the North Cascades - on the edge of the Chelan Sawtooth Wildereness, above the Methow River Valley - these courses offer great mountain trail running early in the year. The sun shines an average of 5 out of 7 days in the Methow Valley year-round, and for race-day, and (if historic races are any indication) you can expect sun and lots of it come race-day. In partnership with Methow Trails and Sun Mountain Lodge, we're proud for this to be the first and finest ultra in the Methow Valley.

All three Saturday distances feature all the things you'll be looking forward to in May: Sun, scenic vistas, runnable trails, wildflowers, and lots of FUN.

After your race, hang out with friends while eating local pizza, drinking local beer, and listening to live bluegrass. Come see what Rainshadow Running is all about! Join our party in the Methow, with a little running thrown in for good measure, and when you go home, you'll be wondering: Why run anywhere else?
