The Endurance Festival, launched in 2014, stands as Egypt's largest multi-sport gathering, drawing thousands of athletes to its various races. Participants can choose from a range of traditional multi-sport distances, including Sprint, Supersprint, Olympic, and Youth Races. Catering to athletes of all ages and skill levels, the festival welcomes everyone from novices to seasoned professionals. Children aged 5-10 can join the 1K Kids Race, while athletes aged 14 to over 70 have taken part in the other races. The Somabay Endurance Festival is organized to meet the highest international standards for endurance sports, featuring MyLaps automatic timing and an exceptional race course.
Course details
Open water course in calm, clear waters. Course is monitored by lifeguards in kayaks and zodiacs.
CYCLING
Course is a mixture of flat stretches plus uphill climbs, alternating between tailwind and headwind. Bike mechanics are present on the course.
RUNNING
Seaside promenade scenic run on interlock brick surface.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Ticket holders can cancel their tickets before the General Registration Deadline and receive the full amount paid as credit in their electronic wallet, to be used for future purchases. Following the General Registration Deadline, no changes or cancellations will be possible, regardless of personal or medical circumstances, including COVID-19 or otherwise. A full refund will only be allowed in the event that a government-declared lockdown is enforced and the race is cancelled or postponed. Tickets cannot be transferred/resold to other participants under any circumstances. At the Expo/Race Pack Pick-Up, participants must present a valid photo ID that matches their ticket, in order to receive their Race Pack Pick-Up.
Cut-off times
Somabay Endurance Festival will only enforce cut-off times for the Olympic distance, based on the following time limits: Cut-off for Swim: 1 hour Cut-off for Swim + Bike: 3 hours Cut-off for Swim + Bike + Run: 4 hours The cut-off time will be calculated from each individual athlete's swim start time, making it exactly the same for all participants, and ensuring that there is no benefit gained from starting in an earlier swim wave, There are no cut-off times for the Sprint, Sprint Relay, Supersprint, Youth, 10K, or 1K Kids Race.
