The El Gouna Half Marathon is a renowned running competition held in the popular Red Sea resort town of El Gouna. Taking runners through breathtaking landscapes, the route encompasses the sea, Kite Centre Road, golf course, and Downtown El Gouna, with the Start and Finish situated at Abu Tig Marina. Participants can choose between the 21K, 10K, and 5K races, all of which are accurately timed using the MyLaps timing system. On the course, runners will have access to water, bananas, and electrolyte drinks. Additionally, there is a 1K Kids Race that takes place after the main races. El Gouna is an exceptional destination that offers a plethora of hotels, stunning beaches, and a variety of activities for participants to enjoy before and after the El Gouna Half Marathon.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?

Cheeky Monkey, Abu Tig Marina Runners should pick up their Race Packs & Race Numbers on Friday, November 15th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Kindly note that runners will not be able to collect their Race Packs on the day of the event.

How to get to the race location ?

The sixth edition of El Gouna Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024. ​ Runners are expected to make their way to El Gouna by Thursday, in order to collect their Race Packs and Race Numbers. El Gouna is located just 25 kilometers from Hurghada, meaning participants who are not Gouna residents can easily reach the destination via car or internal flight, while those traveling from major cities abroad can fly directly to Hurghada International Airport. Alternatively, participants can use a transportation service such as GoBus, Blue Bus, or other bus services that travel to El Gouna. ​ There is parking available near the Start Line Zone, where participants will be able to park before the race begins.

Does the race has the Baggage storage facility ?

Participants should note that there is no baggage claim at El Gouna Half Marathon. Runners are advised to leave their belongings at their homes or hotels, in their parked vehicles, or with friends and family.
