Sao Paulo International Half Marathon Trivia

The city of Sao Paolo has beautiful climate at this time of the year and it is quite likely that athletes will experience rain during the event. The maximum temperature can rise to about 260Celsius, but that is towards the latter part of the 3-hour time limit. There are lots of spectators along the route so there is never a dull-moment for the participants as plenty of encouragement is showered on the runners. The course can be a bit challenging as there are some hills along the way along with about 5-tunnels. The problem with running through these tunnels comes when runners are in the middle, away from either mouth. The lack of wind can be a problem here!

São Paulo, also known as Sampa, is the largest city in Brazil and the seventh largest city in the world (by population).
