A mythic distance, a physical challenge, an achievement for many runners… Without any doubt the Marathon of Run In Reims will soon join the Greatest!

Much more than a sportive challenge, we offer you an authentic touristic experience for a weekend that you will never forget!

In partnership with the Tourism Office of Reims, you will benefit from a set of touristic offers: accommodation, visit of the UNESCO monuments, visit of the famous Champagne cellars and special excursions in Champagne for Run In Reims participants only.

You will also appreciate the support of the Reims public, well-known for its presence at sports and running events and ready to cheer you on right to the end!

If you are running your fifth, tenth or even thirtieth Marathon, you will of course enjoy the pleasant surroundings like everyone else, but you will also appreciate the gently undulating route with an extremely limited difference in height, which might tempt you to try to get a great time under your belt.

Highlights

If you are running a marathon for the first time, you will enjoy an extremely pleasant route, incorporating the historical monuments of the city centre which are now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and an adventure into the towns surrounding Reims.

No matter what you have read, nothing can prepare you for that first skyward glimpse of Reims’ gargantuan Gothic cathedral. Rising golden and imperious above the city, the cathedral is where, over the course of a millennium (816 to 1825), some 34 sovereigns – among them two dozen kings – began their reigns.

Meticulously restored after WWI and again following WWII, Reims is endowed with handsome pedestrian boulevards, Roman remains, art-deco cafes and a flourishing fine-dining scene that counts among it four Michelin-starred restaurants. Along with Épernay, it is the most important centre of Champagne production, and a fine base for exploring the Montagne de Reims Champagne Route.

Overview

Running the first kilometers at the heart of the historic city center, going through the famous vineyard of Champagne and the typical regional villages until reaching the wonderful Parc de Champagne, the route will offer you a splendid environment to achieve this challenge.
