About Pensacola Marathon

Combine Veteran’s Day weekend, historic Pensacola, sugar white sandy beaches, add a route atop the bluffs overlooking Escambia Bay where runners greet the sunrise and you have the perfect recipe for the Annual Pensacola Marathon.

This course takes runners on a tour of the waterfront areas and city streets of this city on Florida’s Gulf coast panhandle.

Both the half and the full marathons share the same course for much of the race, starting in downtown Pensacola and running an out-and-back loop through town.

The starting line for both the marathon and the half marathon will be near Admiral Mason Park in Downtown Pensacola, near the intersection of 10th Avenue and Colfax St. The finish line for both races will be near the intersection of 10th Ave and Romana St., next to the Vietnam Wall Memorial.

The Pensacola Marathon is also a Boston Qualifier for you still needing to qualify.

Overview

The course follows a loop. Much of this takes in stunning scenery including the site of pristine sugar white sandy beaches and views overlooking Escambia Bay as well as passing through historic neighborhoods. Runners start in Downtown Pensacola, near Admiral Mason Park, and finish at Corner of Romana St. and 10th Ave. The course is undulating, rising approximately 100 feet over the first 12 miles followed by a fall of the same height over the last 14 miles.
