About Park2Park Run Roeland Park

The Park2Park 1/2 Marathon course starts and ends at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds and includes scenic views of Lake Macatawa, Holland State Park, and Lakeshore Drive. September temperatures are just right for a half – with an average chance for some automatic sweat relief (otherwise known as rain … some years heavier than others).

The 5k run in Waukazoo Woods that starts and ends at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds.

What else is there to look forward to? The end and the Park2Park signature MEATBALLS! (Yes, there are other options.)

Enjoy a weekend in friendly and quaint Holland, Michigan, located on the west coast of Lake Michigan 2 1/2 hours north of Chicago. Holland is the home of Tulip Time, wooden shoes, Hope College, Holland State Park, vibrant downtown shopping and eating, and the Park2Park!

Aid Stations

There are six water/aid stations set with water and energy drink; one port-a-jon, two DNR outhouses and two bathrooms are on the race course.

Award Medals

1/2 Marathon Awards Award ceremony for 1/2 marathon will begin at 10:30 a.m. All 1/2 marathon finishers will receive a finisher’s medal. Overall winners, Master & Grand Master 50+ (male & female) winners will receive awards. Age group awards will be given to first, second and third place finishers.

Maximum Time

The 1/2 marathon course closes at 11:30 a.m. Runners must average a 16 minute per mile pace or less to participate.


Parking onsite at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds entering the dog park or main fairground gates. Additional parking available on at the airport across Ottawa Beach Road and on 152nd Avenue north of Ottawa Beach Road and Park Township Hall. No parking allowed on Waukazoo Drive or Post Avenue.

Ottawa County Fairgrounds

1/2 MARATHON (13.1 miles) 8:00 a.m. start time. The course starts and ends at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 1286 Ottawa Beach Road, and follows the shores of Lake Macatawa in the Waukazoo Woods neighborhoods to the Holland State Park, then loops north on Lakeshore Drive to Tunnel Park and returns to the Fairgrounds through surrounding neighborhoods. The course is USATF certified. It is not a closed course.

5K RUN/WALK (3.1 miles) 8:30 a.m. start time. The 5K course starts and ends at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 1286 Ottawa Beach Road, following the path of the 1/2 marathon through Waukazoo Woods along Lake Macatawa before turning north back to the Fairgrounds. There is one water station.
