About Oregon Summer Marathon

An Oregon Half Marathon Series event – the SUMMER is busy each year. A great race at a great location – Banks Vernonia Trail in Vernonia and Banks, Oregon welcomes you and your personal cheering crowd to the Oregon Summer Half Marathon.

This course is where runners head to in the summer!. 

The event will certainly draw the area’s top runners, and the best looking participants!

Age Limit

Parents may have their children run the Half Marathon at any age - as long as the parent is attending the event, and running with the child. Otherwise, the age requirement is 15 years-old. Parents will always be within 100 feet of their child and will be responsible for any circumstance that arises with their child.

Award Medals

The Overall 1st, 2nd, & 3rd runners, Masters (age 45+) 1st, 2nd, & 3rd runners, and 1st 65+ will be awarded the special Uberthons Overall award medal at the finish line. Yes all finishing participants will receive a snazzy finishers medal.

Equipment Storage

You will check your belongings at the start - they will be transported to the finish line. Please, no valuables.


Banks High School has lots of elite parking for Summer participants. Get there early, and car pool if you can.


The start line of the half marathon is located at Stubb Stewart Park, 13 miles north of where the finish line is. Park your car in Banks at the high school, or near the high school. Please pay attention to regular no parking signs and do not park your cars there. ​ The first bus will leave Greenville City Park in Banks at 6:30 AM. The last bus will leave at 6:45 AM. Please do not wait until the 6:45 AM bus to arrive. As soon as the first bus is filled, it will take off and we will start loading the next bus.
