The Marathon München by Brooks is entering its next round: fresher, more urban, more emotional. The Marathon München by Brooks invites runners to experience Munich with a fresh, urban, and emotional atmosphere. Building on the success of past editions, the marathon features a revised single-lap route that highlights Munich’s most scenic and iconic neighborhoods. Participants will start and finish at the Olympiapark, following a course that takes them past Marienplatz, Sendlinger Tor, Werksviertel, Siegestor, Odeonsplatz, and the Englischer Garten. Runners can look forward to lively moments in the Werksviertel, where live entertainment, street food, and enthusiastic crowds create a festival-like atmosphere.

Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Pickup can be done by an authorized person. In this case, a written authorization and a photo ID of the authorized person are required.
How do I get to the race location?
*By public transport* - Underground: U3/U8 to the stop “Olympiazentrum” - Tram: Line 20/21 to the stop “Olympiapark West” (+ approx. 10 min walk) *By car* Access is possible from all directions via the “Mittlerer Ring” (A8, A9, A92, A94, A96 and A99). Follow the signs for “Olympiapark”. Car parking facilities are limited. Parking fees are charged according to the rates of the Munich Olympic Park: 8,00 EUR for cars 25,00 EUR for buses and motorhomes Car park bookings can be made online on the official Olympic Park website. We recommend travelling by public transport.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
An upgrade to a longer distance is possible upon payment of the surcharge valid at the time of the upgrade, subject to the availability of places in the upgrade category. No refund of the difference will be made for a downgrade to a shorter distance. A processing fee of €15 per change will be charged for changing the distance. These changes can be made until the registration deadline on September 27, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
No refunds are given if a participant cancels, is disqualified, or does not show up. Cancellation is not possible, but a transfer to another person is allowed until September 27, 2026, for a fee ($20 marathon, $15 half marathon, $12 10 km). The original participant receives a voucher, valid only for MARATHON MÜNCHEN 2026, no cash payment. If the event is canceled due to force majeure, fees are refunded, but further claims are excluded. If canceled or changed due to official orders or safety reasons, no refund is given, even if the event has started.
What if I exceed the time limit of the marathon?
If you exceed the time limit on the running course, you must continue your run on the pavement.
