Join Lodz Marathon
This marathon race takes runners on a tour of Łódź, Poland’s third-largest city with a population of 720,000 people, and a fascinating place to visit for its immense industrial heritage and its vibrant cultural scene.
Entrants can choose between the 10k race or the marathon which is held on a new, gently-undulating, IAAF-certified, and traffic-free course. Participants in the marathon run also through the city centre and residential areas, and through the Łagiewniki reserve forest in the northern part of the city. The marathon route passes many grand buildings, for instance the magnificent Izrael Poznański palace and factory complex.
Both races finish inside the Atlas Arena, a 10,400-seat multi-purpose hall. In 2013, over 1600 runners took part in the 10k race, and more than 1000 finished the marathon. The time limit to complete the course is six hours.
