The Juyongguan Great Wall Vertical Challenge, held on January 1, invites runners to “climb higher with every step” — an auspicious beginning symbolizing progress, elevation, and good fortune for the year ahead.
This unique race takes place entirely on the Great Wall, following a demanding and breathtaking route across ancient ramparts, steep stone steps, and historic watchtowers. Participants will experience the raw, rugged beauty of the Wall in a way few visitors ever do — by running it.
