About International Novi Sad Marathon

Novi Sad Marathon is a 42.195Km race organized in Novisad, Serbia’s second largest city, the capital of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.   The longer races continue through the car free urban area, then along the Danube bank and back to the city centre. Each finishers will receive a commemorative medal and a gift-bag.

Highlights

Course is measured by AIMS. Refreshments are provided every 3-4 km. The course runs mostly along the Danube, beside newly constructed bridges and city districts, past the University campus and the old palace of the Assembly and Government of Vojvodina, and along the left bank of the river, across from the famous Petrovaradin Fortress.

Overview

The start and finish of the race are located in the city centre of Novi Sad. The course runs through the streets of the city, along the banks of Danube River (the largest river in Europe), university center and other beautiful parts of town. It is completely flat (+/- 2 m) and closed from traffic.


International Novi Sad Marathon Trivia

This road running event takes place in Novi Sad, Serbia's second-largest city, located on the River Danube in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The half marathon is held annually in the spring, the marathon in the autumn. Both races begin and end on Liberty Square (Trg Slobode) in the city centre. Novi Sad city has 500.000 inhabitants, and is the second largest city in Serbia. It is also a university city, the University center in Vojvodina part of Serbia.
