The panoramic views along some of the staging locations are so vast and impressive that they can literally carry you away"… The organising team is united in its opinion that such amazing scenery rightly deserves an Ultra Trail. "The 360-degree view from the Faulhorn at 2680m, the stunning glimpse from above of the Lauterbrunnen valley and the final stride along the base of the Eiger North Face will set new accents in the trailing running scene!"
Organising an Ultra Trail needs a good portion of dynamism, a shared passion, team members with distinct strengths and a supportive and generous environment. The Grindelwald Running Association serves as organizing member.
The Eiger village of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland lies embedded in a welcoming and green hollow, surrounded by a commanding mountainscape with the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn. This mountainscape and the numerous lookout points and activities make Grindelwald one of the most popular and cosmopolitan holiday and excursion destinations in Switzerland, and the largest ski resort in the Jungfrau region. This is home to the Eiger Ultra Trail.
Eiger Ultra Trail – harder than the North Face solo.
