This is a magical trail full of towering coastal redwoods, lush ferns and rambling streams. The staging area is Huddart Park and starts and ends at Werder Shelter. It follows the trails through Kings Mountain and Bear Gulch.
Huddart Park was once the site of extensive logging operations.
In 1850, the California Gold Rush was booming, and so was the demand for lumber to build San Francisco.
