About Blue Ridge Marathon

The Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon Series has earned its title as “America’s Toughest Road Marathon” by challenging runners with over 7,430 ft. in elevation change, more than any other road marathon in the U.S. This race is the ONLY marathon that runs along the famously scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, and proceeds from this non-profit event benefit the parkway and local charities. This marathon will be equally challenging yet rewarding on this mountainous course.

Finish line festival in Downtown Roanoke. Free massages are also available.

Aid Stations

SKRATCH Labs Hydration Drink and water available at all fluid stations along the course. GU Energy Gels will be available at mile 7, 16.8, and 22.8. There are restrooms at all water/aid stations.

Award Medals

The full marathon finishers receive a medal which can be converted into a beast belt buckle. For all ages categories, in each race the top three finishers will receive a hand welded “runner’s spike” built by a local welding school.

There are public parking garages throughout the downtown area. We recommend the Elmwood Deck off of Franklin Rd., once that one is full we recommend the one off of Church Ave. in the heart of downtown.
