You depart from Mesen towards Ypres and Diksmuide, ending at the Ganzepoot and the mouth of the River Yser on the beach at Nieuwpoort. Will you go for a half marathon, or dare to take on the full 100 km, either solo or with a team? Choose your challenge at the Belgian Front Memorial Trail!
Course details
From Peace Village in Mesen, you run towards the green forests and fields of Palingbeek, just south of Ypres. From there, you continue to Polygon Wood and the Passchendaele Memorial Gardens, passing by the Tyne Cot Cemetery. You then cross the beautiful marshlands of De Blankaart before entering Diksmuide for the first time and approaching the Yser Tower. After another half marathon and a visit to the Viconia Clay Pits, a paradise for birds and wetland wildlife, you finish at the stunning Grand Market of Diksmuide.
Half Marathon 21.1km
Starting at the beautiful market square of Diksmuide, you run towards the Yser Tower. Following the Yser river you arrive at the reconstructed trenches (Trench of Death) after which you continue your way through the landscape to return to your starting point.
Short 5km
The Short Run starts and finishes at the Market Place in Diksmuide. A fun run! The track is very easy and safe.

Bib numbers can be collected at the race desk on the race day.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Due to the nature of the Event we cannot guarantee a partial or complete refund when cancelling registration. We review each case individually to look for a suitable solution like providing a voucher of the same value for the next edition. Registration is bound to the Participant and cannot be transferred to another person. Should the race be cancelled or interrupted for atmospheric reasons, or for any other reason beyond our control, the Participant cannot claim a refund or compensation in any form.
