About Amway Darjeeling Police Marathon

Amway Darjeeling Police Marathon is an initiative of Darjeeling Police in association with Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd. The objective behind the event is to promote Darjeeling as one of the most beautiful and environment friendly global tourist destination. This event also aims to establish peace and harmony between the people of the hills and plains. Participating in this Marathon and running in the laps of the Queen of Hills would be a life time experience for all. 

The First Amway Darjeeling Police Marathon was held on 12 January, 2014. About 2,000 participants from the hill town and around the country who braved the cold 10-12°C and lined up at the starting point of the first Amway Darjeeling Police Marathon — Let’s Run for Peace.

Age Limit

This is an open competition for both males and females within the age group of 18 to 45 years.

Award Medals

There will be both Men & women’s categories in both the categories. Winners and runners up in all categories will be rewarded with cash prize, medal and certificates. There is a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh for the winner whereas Rs 75,000 is earmarked for first runners up and Rs 50000 for second runners up. In addition there will be few more cash prizes for the subsequent few ranks and gift hampers from Amway India.

Sukhia Pokhri Govt School Ground






The Amway Darjeeling Police Marathon would flag off at SukhiaPokhriGovt School Ground at 7:30 am in January and traverse through Darjeeling city touching vantage points like LapcheyJagat, PuboongPhatak, GhoomBhanjan, Ghoom Railway Station, Dali Fatak, Darjeeling Railway Station, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Garden , Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and would conclude at the Chowrasta. Total route is a 21 kms stretch.
