Join Semi de Lushi
Semi de Lushi is organised by Congo River Marathon Events and takes place over a weekend in the heart of Lubumbashi, the copper capital.
The event features multiple race distances, starting with a 1K Kids & Family Fun Run on Saturday, followed by 5km, 10km, and 21km races on Sunday.
Festivities begin with a Health & Fitness Expo, where participants can pick up race bibs and t-shirts. The weekend concludes with an awards ceremony and celebration, including refreshments, snacks, and music. Friends and family are welcome to join and cheer on the runners.
A distinctive element of Semi de Lushi is the “Run for a good cause” initiative, encouraging participants to fundraise for selected charities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, helping drive positive social impact.
The event’s mission is to empower communities in the DRC—especially in Lubumbashi—by promoting health, well-being, and tourism through running.
