X-WATERS Thailand is set to kick off the X-WATERS World Championship season in the enchanting and warm land of Thailand!
The event will take place on the idyllic island of Phuket, renowned for its stunning beaches and vibrant marine life. The Andaman Sea offers a thrilling challenge as swimmers from around the globe converge to showcase their prowess in open water. Experience the crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, breathtaking natural landscapes, diverse exotic fruits, and the warm hospitality of the locals. The race will commence on one of the island's most pristine beaches, featuring golden sands and surrounded by lush hills.
The courses are designed along Karon Beach, offering:
- warm seawater even in winter;
- easy navigation and safety, ideal for beginners or those swimming shorter distances;
- an opportunity for professionals to demonstrate their skills in open sea conditions;
- a beautiful country with spectacular nature and inviting waters!

Course details
3 k Participants will start from the shore. Swim the distance, swimming the buoys counterclockwise (swim from the right side, leaving the buoy on the left). The start and finish are in the same place on the beach.
5 k Participants start from the shore. They swim the distance, swimming the buoys counterclockwise (swim from the right side, leaving the buoy on the left). The start and finish are in the same place on the beach.
10 k Participants start from the shore. They swim the distance, swimming the buoys counterclockwise (swim from the right side, leaving the buoy on the left). The distance consists of two 5 k laps. The start and finish are in the same place on the beach.
2x1 k relay The distance is similar to the 1 k scheme; Participants replace each other on the shore at the start-finish point.

Wetsuit rules
at water temperatures above 24 degrees - the use of neoprene wetsuits is prohibited at all distances; • when the water temperature is above 18 degrees - the use of wetsuits is allowed at all distances; • if the water temperature is below 18 degrees, the use of neoprene wetsuits is mandatory, at distances over 3 km, the use of full neoprene wetsuits is mandatory; • if the water temperature is below 16 degrees - the use of neoprene full wetsuits is mandatory, changes in distances are possible up to cancellation; • if the water temperature is below 14 degrees, there may be changes in distances up to cancellation, the use of neoprene full wetsuits and neoprene helmets is mandatory.
