Join Ultra Marathon Caballo Blanco 2025
The Ultra Marathon Caballo Blanco is organized by True Messages, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to carrying on the legacy of Micah True, also known as Caballo Blanco. In partnership with the Municipality of Urique, Chihuahua, and supported by 'Mas Locos' from around the globe, this event boasts an incredible and storied history. It is considered a must-do on the bucket list of ultra-marathon runners.
Initiated by Micah True to unite runners worldwide, the event aims to introduce them to the Raramuri people, their stunning land, and their cultural traditions and wisdom. The Ultra Marathon Caballo Blanco attracts endurance athletes from all corners of the globe to run alongside 600-800 Raramuri athletes.
New this year is the ultimate endurance challenge: a 100-mile journey through the breathtaking Sierra Tarahumara. The 50-mile Ultra remains one of the most iconic runs in the Americas, a common choice for many Raramuri athletes. Both the Marathon and Half Marathon present significant challenges, but participants are rewarded with the beauty and magic of this landscape, offering what may be among the most scenic runs globally.
All race registrations include not only entry to the races but also access to a full weekend of cultural events, activities, and gatherings in Urique. A separate highlight of the weekend is the UMCB kids race, featuring 800 young athletes competing in short races around Urique. We encourage all participants to support the kids' events and help continue this wonderful running tradition for the next generation.
