Join The Stone Circle 2026

Celebrate the summer solstice with The Stone Circle, a classic American-style festival of gravel cycling. We're taking over the historic Old Sarum hill fort in Salisbury for a weekend packed with cycling, outdoor adventures, hot food, cold beer and great company.

Kick things off Friday night with our fun, fancy-dress hill climb where you can compete to win prizes for all kinds of reasons. Saturday is event day, with three incredible gravel routes, an 80 km, 130 km and 220 km option that includes passing Stonehenge at dawn. Sunday is a relaxed morning for hangover rides and sunrise yoga.

Join us for as much or as little as you like. We're dog-friendly and family-friendly, with plenty of activities both on and off the bike, including guided walks, hikes, runs, games, and a treasure hunt.

Our expanded Festival Fort at Old Sarum will be the hub of the action, featuring top expo partners, craft beer, delicious pizza, a live DJ, a bike park, and a convenient pre-pitched tent village in the campsite.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?

keyboard_arrow_down

Registration & Expo will be held on 26th June 2026 (Friday) from 14:00 - 21:00. Here you can collect your camping wristband. The event HQ “Festival Fort” is at Old Sarum near Salisbury. Full address: Old Sarum, Castle Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP1 3SD.

How do I get to the race location?

keyboard_arrow_down

There are direct trains to Salisbury from London Waterloo, taking just 1h 20m on the fastest services, with around 36 trains running on this popular route every day. From Salisbury train station the Festival Fort is 2 miles.

Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?

keyboard_arrow_down

BEFORE THE EVENT: You can change your route selection by clicking View Booking via your confirmation email. ON THE START LINE: Just let us know so we can tell the timing team and you can change your route before heading off. EN ROUTE: The Bastard: There will be a “bail out” option at approximately 80km – allowing you to drop down from the 220km Bastard Route to the 130km Rebel Route. The Rebel: There’s no drop down option between the 130km Rebel Route and 80km Jester Route.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?

keyboard_arrow_down

Entry feees are non-refundable.

What bike can I ride?

keyboard_arrow_down

The route covers a wide variety of terrain including fast rolling gravel, woodland singletrack, field-side bridleways, disused railway tracks and road so the sheer versatility of a dedicated gravel bike running 38mm + tyres would be our recommendation. However a lightweight hardtail MTB with fast rolling tyres or Cyclocross bike would also be suitable. E-bikes are welcome on the 80km “Jester” Route.

Will there be mechanical support?

keyboard_arrow_down

You will need to be self-sufficient for large sections of the ride and each rider will need to carry spares and tools necessary to deal with punctures and mechanicals. We will have dedicated technical support and mechanics at the Start and each Feed Station to deal with more technical issues. There may be a charge for some parts and labour.

Can my dog join me?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes, we love dogs! As long as it is well behaved and on a lead, dogs are very welcome. Obviously we are relying on you to clean up after your canine companion.

Is there secure bike parking?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes. There will be a dedicated secure bike parking at the Festival Fort with 24 hour security.
