The Engadiner Sommerlauf is a stunning running event set against the scenic backdrop of the Engadin. It draws participants with its perfect blend of athletic challenge and the region's natural beauty. Starting in Sils, the 22,9 km route (+283 m/-318 m) winds through breathtaking landscapes, leading runners to the finish line at the St. Moritz Running Festival in St. Moritz Bad. Along the way, the course follows the shores of the Upper Engadin's largest lakes, traces the Inn River, and weaves through majestic larch forests. This one-of-a- kind race in the heart of the Alps not only inspires a competitive spirit but fosters a profound connection with nature.
Run Pontresina, 10.4 km
The Run Pontresina captivates runners with its distinctive atmosphere, taking them through the enchanting larch forests and offering a truly memorable running experience. As part of the St. Moritz Running Festival, it presents a shorter yet equally appealing alternative to the Engadiner Sommerlauf. Covering a challenging 10.4 kilometers with a 180-meter elevation gain, the course begins in Pontresina and winds through the picturesque Val Roseg. From there, it traverses the serene Stazerwald forest, finishing at the Festival Village in St. Moritz Bad.
Run S, 6 Km
Experience an exciting new race from Silvaplana to St. Moritz! Whether you're up for a quick sprint, seeking a fun family race, or just starting your running journey, the Run S offers an exhilarating 6-kilometer route along part of the renowned Engadiner Sommerlauf track. The course takes you past four picturesque lakes, providing a chance to soak in the stunning panoramas of our captivating region.
Free Fall Vertical, 6.6 km
Uphill on the downhill course
Experience the exhilarating descent of St. Moritz's famous ski racing slope, covering 6.6 kilometers and an altitude gain of 1,069 meters. The Free Fall Vertical takes runners almost straight up the mountain along the same iconic course. Starting at the Festival Village of the St. Moritz Running Festival by the lake, the route first winds through the urban streets of St. Moritz before ascending the downhill slope to the legendary "free fall"—the vertical start of the renowned local downhill ski race.

At the St. Moritz Running Festival, we believe running is for everyone – regardless of ability. Runners with disabilities can take part in the adapted 1 km “Run for Fun” or compete alongside peers in their age category. Every stride counts – and everyone belongs.
