Samarkand Marathon 2025 (within the Framework of the UNESCO General Conference)
Launched in 2019, the Samarkand Marathon is an international cultural and charitable sporting event organised by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation. It promotes inclusivity in cultural institutions, encourages healthy lifestyles, and supports the development of sports tourism in Uzbekistan.
The event attracts thousands of runners from around the world and has become a symbol of cultural and athletic unity. Since 2022, it has been a qualifying race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Championship.
The course passes through UNESCO World Heritage landmarks including Registan Square. Certified by AIMS under World Athletics standards.
Commitment to Inclusivity
In May 2025, the series was officially accredited by SheRACES, a UK-based initiative founded by ultrarunner Sophie Power to promote gender equality and inclusion in long-distance running.

Yes, your starter pack may be collected by your friend. To do so, please download and complete the authorization letter form. Your friend will be able to collect the starter pack upon presentation of the duly completed and signed form.
