Join Run The Tuscany Islands 2026

Run the Tuscany Islands is a multi-stage running event set in the Tuscan Archipelago. It combines competitive races and walking options across several islands, offering participants a varied outdoor experience in coastal and natural settings. The event brings together different running formats, including urban sections, trail terrain, and gravel paths, so it appeals to people interested in both road-style running and nature-based courses.

A defining feature of the event is its island-to-island structure. Participants travel by boat between locations, making transport and timing an important part of the overall experience. The routes take place in environments that include town centers, seafront areas, protected landscapes, and island interiors. Surfaces vary from asphalt to natural trails, and some courses include elevation changes, steps, and uneven ground.

In addition to the race stages, there is an optional trekking activity.

Course highlights
The first stage is an evening urban run on Elba of about 11 km. It follows a looped route through the town, along the seafront, and on an illuminated bike path, with some elevation change and sections that include steps. The second stage is an easy trail on Capraia of about 13 km. This race uses a single-loop course on mixed terrain, mostly trails, and features a more noticeable climb. The third stage is held on Pianosa, within the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, and is planned as an 11 or 17 km run on a mostly flat loop with gravel and trail sections.
