Experienced runners, this page is for you. There isn’t much to say about the Marathon because it is THE mythical distance par excellence. So, to honour these 42.195 km of intense effort, we have prepared a superb route around the Phocean city. Our objective is to make this Marathon a unique event and a highlight of your running career.

Aid Stations

We will make sure that you get all the sustenance you need to get across the finish line! Refreshments will be organised for all three races, every 5 km. You can grab some water, dried fruit, fresh fruit and sugar.

Award Medals

The finisher's medal will be given to you at the finish line, at Quai du Port. Almost as soon as you arrive, you can show off your winnings!

Equipment Storage

You can leave your bags at the left luggage facilities at Vieux-Port near the finish area, so you can run with a clear head and empty pockets. You pick it up after the race upon presentation of your bib.

When you pick up your race bib, we will also give you a timing chip which takes the form of a strip stuck behind each bib. Long live technology! This chip will be automatically started when you cross the start line and will check your regularity throughout the course at various points (every 5km in fact). For example, a participant who doesn't take the right route can't be ranked at the end.

Les Goudes, on Boulevard Alexandre Delabre.

Vieux Port of Marseille.

What is more unique than setting off from the edge of the world?

You will undoubtedly enjoy a very pleasant run in a city which, from a cultural and historical point of view, is as good as any.

The famous Goudes, situated at the heart of the Parc National des Calanques is where you’ll begin the most Mediterranean of races, because there is nothing like running along the seafront. You will visit some of Marseille’s most emblematic sites surrounded by hoards of locals who have come to brave the mistral. Don’t worry, the city’s famous Bonne Mère lifeboat is there to look after the sailors, fishermen ... and runners.

After running through the new Velodrome Stadium, in the Parc Borély and the Place Castellane, you will reach the Vieux Port via the Corniche, for a magical finish, where we will welcome you with a reception fitting for someone who has completed such a challenge.

Half Marathon

ou will set off from the Cathédrale de la Major, a stone’s throw from the MUCEM, before running through some of the most emblematic sites in Marseille. As you leave the Parc Borely, you will join the Corniche and follow the Mediterranean coast. Is there anything more enjoyable than running along the seafront? From this point onwards, you will follow the Mediterranean coast right until you cross the finish line at the one and only Vieux Port.
