Join Rama 8 by Zhulian 2023
The Rama 8 Half-marathon is a new race that lets runners traverse the iconic bridge, with 10K and 5K distances also available.
In 1999, construction of the iconic Rama 8 bridge in Bangkok began and was completed in 2002. On 7 May that year, the bridge was opened to traffic and was named in honour of King Bhumibol's late brother, King Ananda Mahidol (also known as Rama VIII, the eighth king of the Chakri Dynasty). King Bhumibol inaugurated the bridge on 20 September 2002, the anniversary of Ananda Mahidol's birth.
