About Pride Run Phoenix
Run, walk, or wheel through central Phoenix using downtown city streets and Central Avenue. The Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K courses have minimal elevation changes. Like the 10K and 5K, the Half Marathon is a fast, flat course perfect for a PR (Personal Record or Personal Best), making it an ideal training run for the Boston Marathon.
The Central United Methodist Church, next to the Phoenix Art Museum, is this year's host for the start, finish, and expo. The event is light rail accessible with a station stop at Central Avenue and McDowell Road. When riding light rail, there are also several free Park and Ride lots where you can park and then use the light rail to the event. There is available street parking around the start, finish, and expo, which also is accessible using Uber, Lyft, or taxi.
The courses are sports stroller, running chair, handcycle, sports wheelchair, walker, and cane friendly but are not pet-friendly. Well behaved leashed pets are welcome at the expo. As a participant, 21 years of age or older, your first beer is free. You will want to make sure you plan to enjoy the expo party with a fun atmosphere, entertainment, and exhibitors.
