Set against one of the world's most enchanting backdrops, the Portofino Marathon offers a unique experience. With the sound of the sea on one side and the lush greenery of Mount Portofino on the other, participants are treated to stunning sights such as the Cervara Abbey, the Bay of Paraggi, the charming square of Portofino, and the magnificent finish in the seaside gardens of Santa Margherita Ligure. The course is mostly flat with intriguing curves and minor elevation changes, adding to its technical challenge. Beginning and ending in Santa Margherita Ligure, the route includes a scenic turnaround in Portofino's iconic square.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Pick up bibs and race packs for the Marathon, Relays, and Family Run Saturday, January 30th at the middle school in Piazza Roccatagliata in Santa Margherita Ligure from 10:00 to 20:00
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
The registration fee is non-refundable. You can transfer your registration to the 2028 edition no later than January 15, 2027, for a fee of €10.
What is non-competitive participation for foreigners?
Foreign athletes not residing in Italy who intend to run the marathon non-competitively. Foreign citizens residing abroad are eligible to participate. They must be at least 20 years of age (as of 2007) and not be members of a club affiliated with FIDAL or a foreign athletics club affiliated with World Athletics. Please note: By choosing this option, the athlete will have an identified bib, will be included in the finish rankings based solely on their race time, without their position or category, and will not be eligible for prizes in kind or money.
